A repeatable answer to “what defect is this?”
I developed image-processing algorithms that ran in production for automated defect classification, replacing subjective manual judgment with a repeatable quantitative criterion.

What I worked on
The engineering problem was consistency: inspection needed a repeatable criterion instead of a classification that depended on individual judgment. I developed the image-processing algorithms and put that quantitative classification into the production workflow.
