Can the inspection gauge be trusted?
I performed measurement-system and calibration studies on inspection gauges, quantifying and reducing measurement variation before using the measurements to judge the process.

What I worked on
In process engineering, I analyzed inspection-gauge measurements and calibration methods to improve reliability and consistency. The work quantified measurement variation and used data analysis and systematic problem solving to improve the calibration approach.
In my later quality role, I established control charts, control limits, and Cp/Cpk studies for production monitoring. These were distinct activities: understanding the measurement system, and then monitoring process behavior.
